Navi Mumbai International Blood Donation Day, traditionally observed on June 14th, has always been a day when individuals visit blood banks and hospitals to donate blood and save lives. This year, a remarkable group of dedicated entrepreneurs decided to commemorate this special day differently. BNI Knights, a distinguished chapter of BNI Navi Mumbai, hosted an event that combined the invaluable gift of life with the power of business networking.
In collaboration with Sadguru's Charitable Blood Bank, BNI Knights, comprising of 50+ visionary entrepreneurs and business leaders, organized a blood donation camp that surpassed expectations.
Spearheaded by the BNI Knights Leadership team, President Dinesh Patel, Vice President Khushboo Gala, Secretary Sumit Mishra, and Lead Visitor Host Rajesh Mishra, along with the support of the regional BNI Navi Mumbai Leadership team, Executive Director Pankaj Harwansh, and Co-Exec Director Neeta Chavan, conceptualized this groundbreaking event, which showcased the incredible potential of combining business networking with the spirit of International Blood Donation Day.
Harmit Singh Kohli from Sadguru's Charitable Blood Bank expressed his deep appreciation for this groundbreaking initiative, stating, "Normally, we have to make fervent appeals for blood donors. However, this collaboration with BNI Knights has provided us with a continuous flow of donors, resulting in a significant increase in the number of units collected. We are sincerely thankful to Dinesh Bhai and the entire BNI Knights team for organizing this exceptional event."
The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with more than 200 individuals participating and donating over 150 units of blood within a span of just five hours. Following the blood donations, the business leaders engaged in vibrant networking sessions, representing over 150 unique business categories across Infrastructure, Real Estate, B2B, and B2C sectors. A total of 121 networking discussions took place, fostering exploration of collaborations, generating valuable business leads, and uncovering new service offerings.
One of the BNI member from another chapter, shared his enthusiasm for such events, stating, "These events are incredibly energizing, providing a platform to meet and interact with numerous business leaders. They often generate fresh business ideas, collaborations, and connections with companies we aspire to onboard as clients. Combining this with International Blood Donation Day, where we have a wonderful opportunity to give back to society, makes this event truly unmissable."
